Artist Statement

Using photographs, postcards and gallery visits as source materials and starting points, I draw and paint in numerous sketchbooks. I like to make figurative work, but not always, and I like to use a variety of materials. These are pages from my sketchbooks and are various sizes. Sometimes I take work out and frame it, and I often work on loose paper of different textures and sizes. Sometimes I make prints, and I enjoy using pens and inks to create different effects.
